Strength & Conditioning
  • East Tennessee Rowing strength and conditioning is for youth athletes 12 to 18 years old.
  • Our strength and conditioning curriculum is designed to develop strength, power, endurance and mobility using sport-specific strength training, ergometer training, plyometric training, core development and mobility training for significant improvement in an athlete’s mental and physical performance development toward the upcoming seasons.
  • This program is open to competitive or recreational athlete, regardless of your sports background as no prior experience in the sport of rowing is required. 
  • Athletes interested in trying rowing season are welcome to join, as no prior experience in the sport of rowing is required as we will teach you everything. 
  • All sessions are coach lead team based fitness
  • New athletes receive a one-week free trial to get to meet our staff, tour or facilities, experience our training and make sure this is where you want to be.
  • Athletes participating in winter training will compete at the Tennessee Indoor Championships held at the end of January in Chattanooga.
  • Training is conducted at Watt Street Gym in Alcoa.

    • Summer Conditioning: Jun 05 – Jul 28, Mon – Fri, 1:30pm – 3:30pm
    • Winter Conditioning: Nov 14, 2016 – Feb 12, 2017, Mon – Fri, 4:30pm – 6:00pm
