ALCOA, TENN— East Tennessee Rowing is looking for athletes with no previous rowing experience to join their crews. You can sign-up on-line on the clubs website starting February 1st.  On February 20th, East Tennessee Rowing will hold its spring season open house from 9am until 9pm at Watt Street Gym, 259 E. Watt Street, Alcoa TN. During this time people of all ages and experience levels will be able to sign up for any ETRowing program. This includes a recreational league, masters league, junior competitive league, and cross training at the team’s gym. Registration is for the upcoming spring season on Fort Loudon Lake, and is open to all ages, levels of experience, and fitness. During this time, the team will be conducting the club's annual row-a-thon so you should be able to giving you personal insights to the team. You can even hop on an erg and learn to row instantly.

ETRowing also offers membership to Alcoa’s Watt Street Gym. The gym offers functional fitness and indoor rowing for all ages and abilities. Detailed information will be available during the February 20th registration date.

East Tennessee Rowing is a non-profit 501(c)(3) youth club sport organization, established in 2004. Offering a wide variety of rowing as well as strength and conditioning programs for people of all walks of life.  Junior aged (12-18yrs) athletes can either choose to participate in learn-to-row, recreational classes, summer camps, as well as a competitive traveling team for junior (12-18 years of age) athletes from Blount County and Knox County. Adults (23+) that are interested are welcome to join the club's masters rowing classes. Based in Louisville, Tennessee and trains on Fort Loudoun Lake, offering  The club’s goal is to promote a healthy lifestyle, develop skills to be competitive at local, regional and national regattas, and ignite a life-long passion for the sport of rowing.  The club does not receive any government assistance the primary revenue is from program fees, adult class fees, contributions from generous individuals and businesses, and fundraisers like this event.
